Scare me in 6: Final film, storyboard + development into the 30 second film

The original 6 storyboards (shown below) tell the story of two friends who end up taking revenge on each other.

I was inspired to develop on this further by changing the two friends into a representation of how a single person feels about themselves. Though in the notes of the second storyboard (shown below) it is written like they actually are twins literally, because it took me a while to figure out the fine details of the narrative.

The last few boards above were ditched and replaced with the elevator scene in the final animation.

Inspirations I looked at to make this animation:

The shining, specifically the scene where the main character is in the red room, the twin weren’t intended to be a reference to the twin girls so that is a coincidence.


Inu Curry’s work in general was also pretty influential and a good point of reference for me when I was making this animation.
